2006 Accord Immobilizer was created by JustinTime
I have a 2006 Accord with 2.4L. About 3 months ago, it just stopped cranking and the green key was flashing. I knew nothing about this so started researching and learned about the immobilizer system in these cars. I used a locksmith first, but their computer couldn't do anything, so I towed to Honda. They called and said the ecu was bad. I ordered a used one and that fixed the problem. After about 2 weeks, the car started dying on me occasionally while driving and eventually once again stopped cranking with the green key flashing. I thought maybe I got a bad used ecu, so I ordered another ecu but one one that came with an immobilizer and keys. I installed it and it fixed it About 2 weeks later, it once again died on me while driving. Now I'm thinking there has to be a problem that's damaging these components. I immediately parked it and did research. Ai told me this was a common problem on these cars and that there are 2 fuse relays that go bad and slowly short out the ecu and immobilizer. I purchased the 2 relays and have driven it for about a month with no issues. But now, it again won't crank and the green key is flashing. I started looking into ways to just bypass the immobilizer to see if that would fix it, and again Ai said there it a way to desolder and remove the immobilizer chip from the ecu and just bypassing it. That research led me to here. Is that possible or are there any other thoughts about this issue?
