To register keys into a new/virginized ECU:
1. Security light should be on, indicating that the immobilizer is in Auto Learn
Mode.
2. Insert a key into the ignition (do not turn). The security light should blink
once and then remain solid, indicating the key has been registered.
Remove key from the ignition.
3. Repeat step #2 3 more times. Removing the 4th key closes auto learn
mode. The first 3 keys are registered as MASTER keys, the last key
becomes the VALET key.
4. Once Auto Learn Mode has been closed, the immobilizer must be
resynchronized with the ECU before the car will start. Insert a MASTER key
into the ignition switch and turn to the ON position (do not crank the
vehicle!).
5. Insert the Toyota/Lexus OBD2 Resync Tool (shorts terminal 4 and 13) and
start a timer for 30 minutes.
6. Once 30 minutes has passed, remove the Resync Tool.
7. Turn ignition switch off and remove key.
8. Reinsert key and confirm that the vehicle can now be started.
Note: Up to 4 keys may be registered.
Tip: If you would like to program less than 4 keys, Auto Learn Mode must be closed
manually: turn ignition switch on and then off 5 times within 10 seconds, then
remove the key from the ignition.
