Afternoon,
I was called into a shop to replace a BCM for a tail light issue on a 2012 MKX. Shop purchased a recycled unit. Vehicle is a push to start and would not go into accessory mode with used BCM installed. It would only state :no key detected". I cloned the information directly with VVDI. Cloning went fine. Installed and was able to start the vehicle with the key in the center console pocket right away. I checked for any codes to make sure everything cloned over properly. Had no codes at all. I shut it off and checked the fobs. Neither of them would operate the locks and would not start the vehicle through the RFA. I attempted all keys lost with my autel 508. No change. I then tried parameter reset RFA/BCM and that's when things went bad. I lost all key functionality. I relearned the keys into the RFA with FORSCAN and got lock and unlock signal back with both fobs but they are still not detected wirelessly or in the pocket. I also no longer get "no key detected" on dash. I swapped original BCM back in as it always started the vehicle and found the same result. I should note that one of the keys is an aftermarket. Does go in as second key so I don't think its a clone. Any help you could offer would be appreciated.
