2013, 2.5l Volkswagen Jetta was created by lexfreeman
hi, my name is Lex from Mexico city, we are currently working on a 2013 VW jetta 2.5l engine with two dtc codes:
P1114-HO2S Sensor Heater Resistance Too High Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0140-HO2S12 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected
when it arrived we installed a new sensor thinking that might be the issue, cleared the codes and worked fine for a couple of days then the codes returned, we checked the sensor resistance and everything checked out just fine, so no issues with the sensor, we then proceeded to check every cable and it turned out we didn't have any ground going to the sensor resistance from the ecu, we removed the harness and cleaned it and then we had ground but it only lasted for a day or so then the codes where back, first the p1114 with no mil on, then like a day later the P0140 turned it on, I should mention that the ecu had safety screws that we needed to tap lightly with a hammer in order to get them out and clean the harness, so we came to the conclusion that maybe a bit of solder was off from the ground to the pin going out to the sensor?
thanks in advance and I hope you can help me
